HMK Advocates traces its roots to Hannah Muriithi & Co. Advocates, established in 2009 with a strong focus on Corporate & Commercial Law, Legal Research & Consultancy, Conveyancing, Real Estate and Land Law.

Through a merger in 2011, the practice became part of Muriithi & Ndonye Advocates, building further experience in commercial and corporate law. Following a major restructuring in May 2017, HMK Advocates re-emerged as a stronger and diversified firm.

The firm has retained its established strengths in Legal Research, Conveyancing, Real Estate and Land Law while expanding its Corporate & Commercial practice and its capacity to handle civil disputes, including commercial, constitutional and regulatory matters.

HMK Advocates also promotes preventive legal practice by helping clients identify and address legal and compliance risks before they negatively affect their organisations. This includes Regulatory & Legal Compliance and Legal & Governance Auditing.

Research remains central to the firm's work. The team tracks changes in legislation, regulation and the wider operating environment and advises clients on material legal developments.
